I was in Cambridge recently for a wedding, which finished late and meant an overnight stay. The following day was gloriously sunny, and I felt it would have been criminal not to visit Cambridge Central Mosque! As I walked around, I was struck by its beauty and calmness. The wooden lattice pillars, open space, and natural light give the mosque an almost heavenly-like feel—yet it still feels deeply rooted in Islamic tradition. During my visit, I witnessed several Nikkah ceremonies taking place one after another, each one filled with joy and meaning.
