Not every wedding needs a packed guest list to be unforgettable.
Jennifer and Lincoln chose to celebrate their marriage with a beautifully intimate micro wedding at Brentham Club in London, proving that sometimes the smallest weddings can be the most meaningful. With just their two sons by their side—who also had the honour of acting as their witnesses—the day was centred entirely around love, family and the beginning of a new chapter together.
There was something incredibly special about the simplicity of the day. Without the hustle and bustle that often comes with larger weddings, every moment felt personal and unhurried. It gave Jennifer and Lincoln the opportunity to truly be present with one another, sharing quiet smiles, heartfelt laughter and the excitement of finally saying, "I do."
One of my favourite aspects of the ceremony was seeing their sons play such an important role. Not only were they there to support their parents, but they also became part of the official ceremony by signing the marriage register as witnesses. It was a wonderful reminder that weddings aren't just about two people—they're about the families they create and the people who have been part of their journey. Afterwards, we took some images outside and then back at the hotel where we grabbed lunch.
As a documentary wedding photographer, these are the weddings I love to photograph. Rather than directing every moment, it’s nice to quietly observe and capture the real emotions as they unfold. The result is a collection of timeless photographs that tell the authentic story of the day, preserving not only how everything looked, but how it felt.
Micro weddings have become increasingly popular over the last few years, and it's easy to see why. They allow couples to focus on what matters most, spending quality time with the people closest to them while creating an atmosphere that feels relaxed, intimate and deeply personal.
Jennifer and Lincoln's wedding was a perfect example of this. It wasn't about the size of the celebration or the number of guests—it was about the commitment they made to one another and sharing that moment with the two people who meant the most to them.
