Afan - Day 2 - Zip World!
After a much needed sleep to recover from yesterday’s journey to Wales, everyone was up and eager to visit Zip World! Bhai cooked us scrambled eggs with toast and croissant. And….Romi made is now infamous, granola, greek yoghurt and fruit breakfast! A brekkie that I haev been making at home!
The drive to Zip World was the first time we were properly exposed to the amazing views and roads of Wales. Every bend we went round, every hill he drove up blessed us with jaw dropping views. At first, we would say, “wow, look over there…. check out this view” but after a few minutes, it was just silent because every view was amazing.
Zip World was fantastic, with amazing views. We spent 30 minutes in the car park taking photos before venturing inside. Before today, there is no way that Lipa would have thought about going on the fastest seated zip line in the world where you hit speeds of 70mph. After today, I think she realised that she was actually tougher than she ever thought she could be. For the younger kids, there was a Coaster car ride around the hills. I have to say, some of the mothers looked very scared in the cars!
One the way there, we had seen a couple of viewpoints, which had ice cream vans but alas, the vans had gone by the time we were heading home. That did not stop us and we had a mini picnic here and took some great photos! Aarshia also had a mini model shoot and dinner was BhabiJaan’s amazing lamb and Lisa’s equally great chicken. Umar, Yusuf and Aaryan were also relieved that they finally had some broadband!
